To all current and past HCC members,
The New Year brings a genuine need for the Herald Community Club (HCC); our active membership has declined to the point that we find it difficult to move forward with our 2017 planned events. Our club has enjoyed a rich history of community assistance and strong community ties. The current officers are diligently trying to increase active membership and we have not reached our goals. This letter is a plea to the current and past membership to become active in planning and executing our 2017 HCC events including: St. Herald’s Festival, Spring Fling, Herald Day, Oktoberfest, Fall Sweep, Christmas in the Park, and Christmas in the Barn. HCC’s main priority is giving back to the Herald Community; and without the help and support of community members, HCC cannot facilitate the events as planned. Our children and the community will be negatively impacted without the proceeds and donations that HCC provides.
We have the opportunity to come together as a community and continue HCC’s proud tradition of community support. We understand that life is hectic and it is sometimes difficult to attend all the meetings; but just one evening a month can make a real difference to our community. Without an increase in our active membership, our events will have to be scaled back and that means the proceeds that go back into our community will also decrease. It is the hope of the current officer’s to increase our support of the community, not decrease the support.
We are calling on you to help us in this critical time. Please attend our membership drive at the regularly scheduled meeting on February 1, 2017. If you are unable to make the meeting and would like to join the HCC, we have attached a membership form so that you can become a voting member and have a voice in planning our scheduled events and helping our community support grow in 2017.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Herald Community Club Officers
